Average amount of driving lessons

What is the average number of driving lessons? How much does a driving lesson cost? How many driving lessons should I take?

Going on the average of hours worth of driving lessons required to pass the test, this means the average cost of learning to drive is a whopping £080. Each learner driver is unique, so there isn’t a magic number of driving lessons.

This is just untrue. Every driving instructor has a responsibility to you. They would rather be accused of stretching out lessons than be the one who rushed through lessons for a young person to pass their test only to die in a car crash months later. A great way to save money is to talk to your instructor or driving school about block bookings.

Often the more hours you book in advance, the cheaper the rate will be. And if you’re a student, ask about discounts, some driving schools and instructors offer student rates too.

Indee of the counties have driving lesson rates within £of that £26.

Merseyside is the county with the most ‘ average ’ rates, just 6p off the nationwide figure. Interestingly, when we compared driving test pass rates by area, Merseyside’s St Helens test centre was closest to the average ! As this varies from person to person, the DVSA does not recommend a specific set of hours. Once you’ve started learning, ask your instructor for advice about when you are ready to start practising between lessons. You can start driving a car when you’re 17.

However everyone learns at different pace therefore some people will be ready before this average number of driving lessons and others will require more. The DVSA say "there is no minimum number of lessons you must have or hours you must practise driving.

Driving lessons are not cheap. Lack of private practice due to reluctant parents and high insurance costs. The average amount of lessons is on the increase due to 1) Harder driving test. I had lessons before passing and they say that on average it can be between and lessons, but like i said it all depends on you.

I used a website that has a forum, videos, tutorials other learners and a whole load of instructors and examiners at hand to answer any questions. Its a fantastic site and i believe it helped me with my lessons and helped me pass.

I do one driving lesson a week which is two hours long, i have only had about lessons (hours). Do you know on average how many hours or sngle hours lessons it will take to pass?

If the average person takes lessons to learn to drive, then your driving lessons will cost at least £0and remember you have to budget for the cost of theory and practical tests on top of.
