An excellent museum all round. Gaydon Gatherings will take place in the grounds and the Museum itself will not be open during these evenings. Gaydon Garage Feature At 7pm we will open the workshop doors of the Collections Centre and bring out one of our fantastic vehicles, not normally seen out of the Museum.
The Archive houses authentic historical records by many of the major car manufacturers, including a range of original factory ledgers which record the details of individual vehicles as they came off the production line. However, the shows main appeal is post-war machinery, with most of the attractions coming from the fascinating but ultimately doomed period of the organisation. The Museum building is a spectacular piece of architecture with an art deco design, whilst the Collections Centre building is a modern contrast. Really enjoyed my visit, good range of vehicles from. The Collections Centre, which can only be visited via guided tours, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, houses the Jaguar Heritage Collection and the Motor Museum’s reserve collection.
