Provisional motorbike licence

To ride on public roads you first need to get a provisional licence and then complete compulsory basic. Get your first provisional driving licence for a moped, motorbike and car from DVLA online. To apply you must: be at least years and months old be able to read a number plate from metres.

If you have a provisional licence to ride a motorbike you are also not allowed to carry passengers.
