Wollaton park events

Due to the recent changes with coronavirus guidelines from the government, we’re reviewing every event on a case-by-case basis. Keeping everyone safe. We’ve also made a few changes to help make your visit as safe and enjoyable as possible.


Find upcoming events below. The gardens are used throughout the year for events such as outdoor theatre and private events such as weddings.

We advise to not approach, touch or feed the deer as they can be dangerous. Wollaton Park events and tickets.


Please be aware of seasonal activity, such as deer rutting (September – November), calving (March – May) and times of the year when invertebrates may sting or bite in open spaces, such as wasps, ticks and horse-flies. Other parkruns nearby.

The events include: The Splendour Music Festival. This festival takes place in July annually. The grounds are surprisingly large and there are frequent events, most of which are free.


The new playground is great and there are now new cafes too. The only negatives are obviously being a deer park it can be a bit smelly! Entries for the National XC Champs are now open ! If your event is booked in May or June we are happy to discuss rescheduling options with you.

Community centres offer a wide variety of regular activities, clubs, and social groups - covering many different interests, ranging from health and fitness to arts and crafts, to dance and drama, and much more.

THE WOLLATON PARK 10K - POSTPONED ! We know how disappointing this news will be for so many. The runners who have trained for many months and the charities for which they are raising funds. I am posting this on behalf of our Chair, Mark Jacobs.


Among much else, Mark has been responsible for the production of our very popular cards. The opening dates for the bowling greens, grass tennis courts and croquet will be Saturday 6thApril to Sunday 22ndSeptember inclusive.


The Victoria Embankment Paddling pool will be open from. A walk in the Park is a programme of free short walks in local parks and open spaces in the City. Something to sit on.
